'Terms of Use'

Last updated Nov 1, 2026Effective Nov 1, 2026Publisher: THE DDS COMPANY LLC

These terms govern your use of ddsbreach.com, its alerts, exports and API. By using the site you agree to them. If you use DDSBreach on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf.

1. What DDSBreach is

DDSBreach is a research publication that compiles public information about cyber incidents affecting the US dental industry: practices, DSOs, labs, vendors, payers and dental software. It is published by THE DDS COMPANY LLC.

Each record links public sources such as the HHS OCR Breach Portal, state attorney general breach lists, court and enforcement records, leak-site metadata and news coverage.

2. Informational use only

DDSBreach provides information, not legal, compliance, security or insurance advice. Nothing on the site creates an attorney-client, consulting or fiduciary relationship. Consult qualified counsel or a security professional before acting on any record.

3. Accuracy, timing and status labels

Records reflect the public sources cited, as of the date shown on each record. Sources can be incomplete, delayed or later revised.

A "Claim reported" label means a threat group posted a claim on a leak site. DDSBreach has not verified it, and the organization may dispute it. A regulator filing does not establish fault or negligence.

HHS lists only breaches affecting 500 or more people, and many states publish nothing. The absence of a record does not mean no incident occurred.

4. Acceptable use

You may read, cite and link to DDSBreach records. You may not: scrape the site beyond the published exports and API; use records to harass, threaten or extort any listed organization or person; attempt to locate, obtain or distribute leaked data; misrepresent a claim as a confirmed breach; or interfere with the site’s operation or security.

5. Accounts, plans and billing

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Free trials convert to a paid plan only if you add a payment method and do not cancel before the trial ends. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal.

Annual plans cancelled within 30 days of purchase or renewal receive a full refund. After 30 days, access continues to the end of the paid term and is not refunded.

6. Exports, API and citation

Exports and API access are licensed for use within your organization under your plan. You may quote individual records and publish charts with attribution to DDSBreach and the underlying source. Redistributing the dataset in bulk requires written permission.

Some source data carries its own license. Leak-site metadata from RansomLook is used under CC BY 4.0 and must be credited when reused.

7. Corrections and right of reply

Any organization named in a record may request a correction or publish a reply through the corrections page. We acknowledge requests within 2 business days and log accepted changes publicly on the record.

8. Intellectual property

The site design, text, analysis and compilation are owned by THE DDS COMPANY LLC. Source documents remain the property of their publishers. Government records are used as public information.

9. Disclaimers

The site and its data are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, THE DDS COMPANY LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Laramie County, Wyoming.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email at least 30 days in advance.
